      A call from this number left a robotic voicemail about pending federal charges against me and to call back as soon as possible to prevent this. When I called back, a guy with a heavy foreign accent claimed to be a detective with the IRS. When I identified myself as a Denver Police detective they hung up on me. I called back again. This time a female with a heavy foreign accent answered and identified herself as a detective with the IRS. I told her I was a Denver Police detective and received a call from this number, and asked her what she was calling about and she hung up. I called back a third time and the guy with the heavy accent answered again, I told him again that I am a detective with the Denver Police Department and asked him why he called me. He claimed that he didn’t call me I called him. I told him I was returning his call and wanted to know what it was regarding. He asked me for my badge number and when I gave him a number he asked me if I provided false information? I asked him if he was providing false information and he said no and wanted to give me his badge number. As he was providing it, he gave random letters and numbers and then an underscore. He then called me a dumbass and hung up. Everyone call this number all hours of the day to thank them for their service, but block your number first. Please note the IRS only contacts people by mail, NEVER by phone, email or social media. Protect yourself!
