All calls came in on my landline on Feb. 6, 2018. There were 4 calls total on the same day. The first call was automated female voice introduced herself as Danielle—I hung up before their message was complete. Second caller was the same female automated message. Then another two calls was a male voice with a foreign accent, possibly India. I pressed caller ID return call and got a live male with a foreign accent, possibly India. He said that he was with the Social Security Administration and he told me that my SS number was being used in Texas to commit crimes. That the persons in Texas had opened 7 bank accounts in my name, rented an apartment in my name, rented a car (Toyota Corolla). Then I asked him what city in Texas was this activity taking place. At this moment, my voice was firm and the man asked me why I was yelling at him and I told him that the information he has given me would make anyone yell and then I ended with saying to him that I also felt suspicious of him as well and asked him why the Social Security Administration didn’t send me a letter. He then hung up on me. Also, he had the correct last four digits of my SS number, but not the whole number.
